Frequently asked questions
Is this QR code generator free, and do the codes expire?
Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up. The codes are static: the information is stored inside the code itself, so they never expire and keep working even if this website is offline.
Is my information private?
Yes. The QR code is created inside your browser on your device. Your links, Wi-Fi passwords, UPI ID and contact details are not uploaded or stored on any server.
How do I make a UPI QR code for payments?
Choose “UPI payment”, enter your UPI ID (like name@okhdfcbank) and your name. Add an amount if you want a fixed price, or leave it empty so the payer types it. The code works with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and other UPI apps. Always test with a small payment before printing.
How do I make a WhatsApp QR code?
Choose “WhatsApp”, enter your number with country code (for example 91 for India) and an optional message. Scanning opens a WhatsApp chat with you, with the message ready to send.
Can guests join my Wi-Fi by scanning?
Yes. Choose “Wi-Fi”, enter the network name, password and security type. Most iPhone and Android cameras offer to join the network after scanning.
Can I add my logo in the middle?
Yes. Upload a logo and adjust its size. The error correction is raised to High automatically so the code still scans. Keep the logo small and test-scan before printing.
PNG or SVG — which should I download?
PNG is best for websites, WhatsApp and social media. SVG is a vector file that stays perfectly sharp at any size, so it is best for printing on flyers, menus, banners and packaging.
